Defining the flow rate of nozzles

In order to check whether a nozzle is properly functioning it is necessary to measure the flow. If one determines a flaw in the flow rate, then it will be necessary to look for the cause of it either within the nozzle itself or in other parts of the sprayer.

The independent nozzle tester of AAMS allows controlling the flow rate of individual nozzles with high precision.

The nozzles are checked at constant pressure. The flow rate can be read on the display of the flow sensor and/or on a PC with the complimentary software.

The values are automatically stored for further processing and can be used for the assessment in inspections and for reporting official inspections.

The device works with high precision and displays exact values of the flow rate for a verification of the wear rate of nozzles.

Specifications

The design of the independent nozzle tester incorporates very precise sensors (flow and pressure sensors with) precision of 0.5%.
The device is available in different versions.
The device functions on both 220V and 12V (6 hours).
The hydraulic circuit is pressurized through a volumetric pump with linear flow characteristics working on 12V. The pump can easily yield 5 l/min at a pressure of 8 bar.
The liquid flow is transmitted through electrical valves either to return into the liquid tank or to the nozzle to measure the flow rate.
A special pressure dump valve is built-in to avoid spillage when the liquid flow circuit is changed.
The pressure is measured (analog or digital; class 0.5) just above the nozzle to be as precise as possible. The digital sensor can be connected to a PC and transfer data with the complimentary software.
The flow is measured with an inductive flow sensor with a precision of 0.5% between 0.15 and 8 l/min. In the computer software the flow rate value is corrected to the exact value for reference pressures (in case of pressure differences).
The adapters to the nozzles and nozzle carrier discs are designed in order to avoid to affect the measured flow rate of air-injection nozzles as TVI, AVI, AI, ID, Airmix, IDK, Turbodrop, etc.
Extra adapters are supplied in the standard kit to check different types of nozzle discs and nozzles that are still mounted in the nozzle cap.
The nozzle carrier discs are developed to hold different types and models of nozzles on the same disc. The carrier discs are available for all common nozzle types and nozzle discs. The disc for standard nozzles can carry up to 72 nozzles; the disc for nozzles mounted in a nozzle cap can carry up to 36 nozzles at a time.
A set of officially calibrated nozzles (5 pieces) can be provided.
